Hey Sugas!!! I LOOOOVE a good cupcake just as much as the next person, heck maybe even more. Warm out of the oven, buttercream icing, fluffy, moist sponge cake, YUM!!! It’s like heaven in your mouth. But one Cupcake I love above all the others is cupcake polish… less calories and instead of my waistline expanding, my polish collection does and my nails thank me.
Cupcake Polish is very excited to announce their first limited edition trio of 2019! They are starting this new year off with a gorgeous, flakie-filled bang! Each of these three limited edition nail polishes are packed with delicate color shifting flakies and shimmers that will amaze you with how beautiful they shift in different lighting
Hey Sugas!!! Since this is the first HHC (Hella Handmade Creations) post of the year, I figure this was a great time to go over some housekeeping about how things work.
April 2018, HHC restructured how customs were offered by allowing the participating makers to pick the inspiration for their monthly custom. The handmade creations are then offered for a one week limited time.
This type of shopping experience allows you to pick and chose your must haves from a wide range of colors and finishes all in 1 place. I must advise that some polishes are capped so, if you see something you must have…. act fast!!!
Now that our brief overview is done, let’s talk polish…
Today I have 2 of the 20+ creations that will be available for January. Mariah of Great Lakes Lacquer loves Lord of the Rings and it shows in a fun thermal. While Sarah of Bee’s Knees Lacquer impresses us with a flake filled Rick and Morty inspired polish.
Hey Sugas!!! As if the New Polish Stuff at the beginning of the month weren’t enough, Bee’s Knees Lacquer (BKL) is returning Friday, January 11th with even MORE stuff including new bath items and 3 polishes.
Ladies and Gentlemen, boys, girls and nail polish lovers of all ages, allow me to introduce the 2 colors of the month (CoTM) from Girly Bits Cosmetics.
Red Velvet is a red polish lovers dream with its vampy, sultry shade while After Midnight is a gorgeous black reminiscent of a star lit sky. Congrats to the FB Fan Group members, Sherry W. and Honey C. for winning the naming contest, you both hit the nail on the head.
Now I know I’m a little late to the party seeing as though these polishes have been available since the 1st, but fret not because they still are to February 1st at 11:59pm EDT.
So without further delay, I give you the January 2019 CoTM….
P.S., I promise not to be late with the February 2019 and March 2019 CoTM. *wink, wink

Hey Sugas!!! March 2018, the folk-rock group, The Decemberists released Rusalka, Rusalka/Wild Rushes on their I’ll Be Your Girl album. According to Slavic mythology, before the 19th century, Rusalka was a female water nymph or spirit, having ties to fertility and not seen as evil. However, the 19th century version depicts a rusalka as an unquiet, dangerous being who is no longer alive and associated with the unclean spirit. She’s no Little Mermaid, that’s for sure.
Today I have the 5 piece collection, River Bride by Pahlish inspired by the song. But the fun doesn’t stop there, Pahlish is also releasing two gorgeous blue shades that didn’t quite make it into the Wizarding World Pt. 2 releases!
Hey Sugas!!! Today I have the 6 piece, You Are Beautiful Collection and the Polishes of the Month for November 2018, December 2018 and January 2019.
Immediately when I read the name of the collection I thought of the 2002 song Beautiful sung by Christina Aguilera. I remember being 19 and having my son that year, and all while dealing with the ups and downs of being a new mother, I struggled with my self image, esteem and confidence!!! I struggled to find my beauty, my worth, my purpose and belonging. The lyrics, became my anthem and really helped me love myself and the skin I’m in.
“I am beautiful
No matter what they say
Words can’t bring me down
I am beautiful
In every single way
Yes words can’t bring me down
So don’t you bring me down today”
As women (and men), we are all oftentimes made to feel less than what we truly are – beautiful. The media paints a portrait of ‘beauty’ that is most often times unachievable, but beauty is more than skin deep. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, we are all beautiful in our own ways, and this collection was created to be celebrate just that!
Before I share the swatches, I just want to remind you that Different Dimensions is releasing 3 POTM which will only be available for the month of January, so don’t delay!!! And for all the crelly fans, 2019 is the year of the crelly so you can expect to see more monthly crellies coming your way!
Hey Sugas!!! This was the longest 3 day work for me. But good news…. I made it to Friday and that’s all that matters.
Have you heard the phrase’ ‘weird flex, but ok’? Well, I’ll be honest, up until this point I hadn’t. But today’s featured collection was inspired by the phrase because it fit the bill for the 6 polishes with a name that really just didn’t fit anywhere else.
I turned to Google to figure out what exactly is meant by, weird flex, but ok, and finally derived at “a reply used when something odd or weird that you wouldn’t agree with or understand, but go with anyway.” The catchphrase can be seen in numerous memes across social media.
In addition to the Weird flex, But Ok Collection, LynB Designs has created a new POTM (polish of the month), Capricorn which is available now!!

Since then, Candy Coat has produced hundreds of hues across 21 finishes with 700 shades. Hey Sugas!!! Tis the season! The season of winter! The holidays may be over but we are still in the winter season and what better way to spend those frosty, chilly days and nights than with a little holo sparkle in 3 perfect shades. Recently, Zoya released 3 winter holos, Brighton (which was originally released with the Bridal Bliss Collection), Cadence and Everly. Let’s take a look!
Hey Sugas!!! Today I have a “not-so new me” brand, Emma Jean Cosmetics. I was introduced to Emma Jean Cosmetics via gorgeous swatches posted on IG by Becky of nail.dazed. From her swatches I just knew this was brand that I had to get my hands on. Soon after I was a customer and fell in love with the glorious crèmes, flawless formula and effortless application.
Fast-forward about a year and now owner of Emma Jean Cosmetics, Marsha Campbell, is proud to launch the new vegan gel line which currently features 3 shades. Please note, the gel shades are also available in non-gel version. In addition to lookin’ good, Emma Jean polishes are 8 free and many shades are scented to evoke aromatic memories of good times.
