Hey Sugas!!! It’s not time to put away your swimsuit and sunglasses, summer isn’t over yet. In fact I have polishes today that will make you wish summer had just started. Today I have the 12-piece Sunshine Summer 2018 Collection from Zoya! Yes, you read that right, Zoya!
Hey Sugas!!! Or I guess in this case I should say, Ciao Sugas…lol!
So we are all on the same page, ciao is the informal greeting at meeting or parting ones company and bella is the feminine form of bello meaning beautiful! So putting them together simply means… Hello/Goodbye Beautiful.
Before we get into the polish, I wanted to share that a few months ago, Jason and I attended a private couples cooking class that a friend arranged. We had such a great time and you know you all know I love me some good food. The theme was a Italian and Jason I made basil pesto with penne noodles and zuppa Toscana while other couples made various dishes including Tiramisu, carbonara, and there was a chicken dish I can’t remember the name of but nevertheless, it was the bomb!! I say all that to say, if the food of Italy is anything like the country and its culture, then sign me honey because I need to be there.
With the help of Google translate, let’s al try this one for size, “oggi ho la collezione Ciao Bella di 6 pezzi di Pahlish.” This translates into English as, “today I have the 6 piece Ciao Bella! Collection from Pahlish.” See… you just learned something new today – you’re welcome! The Ciao Bella! Collection is the ode to all things Italian and the end of summer.
Hey Sugas!! From the title, I know what you’re thinking. “Krystal has lost her mind, she’s talking about pigs.”
And your 100% right, we are talking about pigs today, but I haven’t lost my mind…we also have polish.
Blogger/swatcher, Tiffany of Polish and Paws, collaborated with LynB Designs and Sassy Pants Polish to create one extraordinary box. The Pig Preserve Collab Box. This box includes 2 polishes, a soap and a pig toy. Individual items will be available for $11 each with $2 being donated or whole box for $30 plus shipping with $6.00 total donated to… The Pig Preserve!!! “What is the Pig Preserve?,” you ask….
It’s a 100 acre pig sanctuary in Jamestown, TN created to provide a home to rescue pigs. Pigs are able to roam freely and naturally and have access to woods, pastures and ponds. The pigs are provided a natural diet and kept out of harms way. To read more about The Pig Preserve, visit their website and check them out on Facebook and Instagram.

Hey Suga! I have 1 question! Who loves purple polish!!!!! I’m so excited because today I have 2 overwhelmingly beautiful purple polishes from Leesha’s Lacquer. August 1st was Leesha’s Lacquer’s 5 Year Anniversary! To celebrate this month, Alicia is re-releasing a throwback polish EVERY FRIDAY, since there are 5 Fridays in August! Only the BEST from the past was chosen to be released ranging from the FIRST EVER polish made, to Fall 2016 and everything in between. And if that weren’t enough, Alicia has continued August with her very limited, small batch OOAK of the Month!
For this re-release, each polish was given to a blogger/swatcher. I was given All That’s Fall for week 3, which is below but I wanted to share week 1 and 2 with you.
Amanda from mannasmanis.com received Oceania from the first EVER summer collection. It’s an ocean inspired jelly has a bright blue base with various shaped and sized blue Glitters. This is still very close to the original formula, it has a lot more glitter added! This
An from thepolishedhippy received Red Viper from my first ever “fandom” collection. Red Viper was inspired by the red viper in the Game of Thrones. Red Viper is a glitter topper with red holo glitter and iridescent glitter. The only thing different in this formula is more glitter!
So now you should be all caught up! Wanna know about week’s 4 and 5? Sure you do! Check out Leesha’s Lacquer social media pages for up to date swatches and details. And to answer your probing question, yes, weeks 1 and 2 are still available in the shop. Let’s see what’s cooking for August!
Hey Sugas!! I know many of you have been privy to Polish Pickup (PPU) at this point, right? Well…. due to its growing popularity, success and increased desire and interest from other indie made products, Indie Pickup (IPU) was created. Indie Pickup (IPU) follows the same format as its’ sister site, Polish Pickup, but with a twist. IPU brings exclusive, non-polish items based the same monthly theme of PPU and will be available once a month, on the third Friday – Monday. All purchases are preorder and will ship approximately 3 weeks after order is placed.
About 2 weeks ago, I previewed 13 brands as part of the August Polish Pickup, so I’m sure you are aware that the August IPU theme is… MUSICALS!!! Today I have products from 2 brands featured this month, Alter Ego and LynB Designs.
I have been using both of these products since I received them and I love them. While I am not much for baths, I have been using the crumbs from Alter Ego for my manicures. There is nothing like a nice, warm, 2 minute soak leaving my hands feeling soft and moisturizing.
The personal diffuser from LynB Designs sits uncapped on my desk I my home office and provides a light, refreshing work space.
Be sure to add both of these products to your wishlist!
Hey Suga! The countdown is officially on! This Friday my youngest will be 7!!! Every morning since Aug. 1st, she has checked the calendar and reminded Jason and I that there are only ‘x’ more days until her birthday. She has decided to invite a few friends from gymnastics to the movies and pizza after. Y’all pray for me, 6 6-7 year olds…lord have mercy…lol! If you don’t hear from me next week, you know why.
On to the polish…
Today I have the 5 piece Polishing Poetic 2.0 Collection AND the Orange You Glad to be Here (OYGTBH) Facebook Group Custom from Great Lakes Lacquer.
Hey Sugas! It’s Friday, so how about a quick middle/high school math recap. We all learned that Pi is =3.1459265859 and it explains the special mathematical relationship of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, right? Ringing any bells? Let’s continue… it’s an irrational number, which means that its value cannot be expressed as a simple fraction and it’s an infinite decimal.
Ok, so let’s think about that word ‘infinite’ for just a sec…
The definition of infinite is “limitless or endless in space, extent, or size; impossible to measure or calculate.”
LIMITLESS!!! WOW!!! If we think about that in terms of polish, we would have a limitless about of polish. Polish, polish, everywhere!
Well that’s exactly the inspiration behind today featured ‘new to me’ brand, PI Colors. PI Colors was established in Los Angeles, CA in 2017 by Trish Robal, owner and creator. Trish aims to “create an INFINITE array of vegan and 10-free nail colors .” Today I have the Seashell Collection which features 4 polishes influenced by clams, mollusks and shells.

Hey Sugas!!! I wanted to open up this post a little differently today because as you can see from the title, todays quad from Necessary Evil is inspired by empowering women. So let’s break that down, shall we?!
Empower and Encourage are both verbs aka action words.
Empower – 1) give (someone) the authority or power to do something; 2) make (someone) stronger and more confident, especially in controlling their life and claiming their rights; 3) to give permission, power, or the legal right to do something
Encourage – 1) give support, confidence, advice or hope to (someone) so that they will do or continue to do something; 2) help or stimulate (an activity, state, or view) to develop; 3) to mentally support; to motivate, give courage, hope or spirit.
In layman’s terms, empower = authorize and encourage = inspire
We are living in a world today ladies that it is imperative that we do both. There is no need for hate, no need to tear our self or one another down. As a mother of 2 girls, it is my responsibility to empower AND encourage them so today’s post is dedicated to my daughters, Xylana and Xadrian. As I write these words to them, please know they are you too.
There are no if, ands or but about it.
There is no one like you. Be unapologetically you. Be imperfectly, perfect because you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Hey Sugas! I, Queen of Nails 83, do solemnly vow and promise to bring you stunning, amazing, gorgeous polish at all times. I promise to never discriminate on color, shade or hue and love them all equally. I promise to give every finish love and compassion as if I had created it myself. I promise to welcome and create space from the in my heart and home…. until I run out of space and must destash. Furthermore, I promise to support indie brands and makers all the days to come.
Now, with that said, I have 4 polishes from a “new to me” brand, Promise Polish. Promise Polish was established in 2014 in West VA by creator and owner, Deborah (Debbie/Deb) Harper. Promise Polish is 10 free, all tested and approved for cosmetic use and none to her knowledge, are tested on animals.
“My goal at Promise Polish is not only to produce a quality product, but share a passion,” says Debbie.
Debbie goes on to say, “I’m a nail polish junkie. There is no hiding it. I never thought about making polish on a large scale, just a few for my own enjoyment. When the polishes that I made started getting noticed by friends, they encouraged me to start making them so other people might enjoy them as well.” Thank goodness she had those friends, if not, where would we all be today??
On to the polish…
Debbie sent me 4 very different polishes, all which are currently available on the Etsy site, link below.
