Hey y’all and welcome back! So who checked out the solar eclipse yesterday? I tried but was afraid that I was going to damage my eyes because I didn’t have the correct protective glasses. There was so much media coverage and posts plastered on social media, that I feel like I didn’t miss a thing. In other news, I made it through my daughter’s and hubby’s Leo Birthday Bash on Saturday. It was a day filled with family, friends, food and fun….the way it was intended to be.
But we’re not quite done celebrating, because Literary Lacquers is releasing 2 LEs this month including a Birthday LE. To help celebrate, there will be 10 returning shades making an appearance for the occasion.
84 Charing Cross Road * Cyan-tifically Proven * Shadow Between Us * Je Reviens * Rebecca, Always Rebecca * Afterglow * Tia Wanna * Arousal * Curious Yellow * English Voodoo
So get your dancin shoes ready folks, these polishes are ready to party!!

Hey guys and gals! Every now and then we need an encouraging word to help us make it through the week, a day, or just an hour and the theme behind this series of polish is meant to do just that. With the month I’ve been having as the summer is winding down and as I get closer to my kids going back to school, sweet reminders of “You’ve Got This” and “Stronger Than Yesterday” put as smile on my face as I was swatching these polishes.
Today I have Anchor & Heart Lacquer’s 2017 “Message In a Bottle” collection. This monthly series of polishes promotes an empowering message of love, confidence, and self acceptance! It’s like getting a high five from the bottom of your nail polish bottle! Another great thing is these beauties are available for ALL of 2017, not just the month that they are released! January-August polishes are all available now!

Good Morning and happy Friday folks! This is such an impromptu post because this week life has been super hectic. We celebrated our daughters’ 6th birthday with hibachi dinner and gifts yesterday and our Leo pool party/cookout will be tomorrow. So if you’re in the area stop by…lol. But seriously, if you have ever planned anything you know how busy that time is and I apologize for my lack of organization this week.
Luckily, I had these swatches done so at least I have something to share, right? Today I have 8 more polishes from Nail Social Nail Brand (NSNB), you may remember my initial S&R for this brand and if you don’t you can read all about it here. Tasia sent me these polishes and let me just say, I adore them all immensely. Let’s take a look!

Week 8 polishes feature polishes from Nvr Enuf, Don Deeva and Bluebird, so let’s take a look at what they have in store for us.
Oh Em Gee, do I have a post for you today! There is so much to cover, including 6 group customs, that I think I should skip the small talk and jump right in. I do want to warn you, there is A LOT of info to cover, so be sure to read it ALL!
Every month the amazing admin team of Hella Holo Customs (HHC), Aubrey Lacaillade and Dawn Borden, welcome 2 guest makers to create group custom polishes inspired and named by group members. Photos and names are submitted and voted on by HHC memebers…see, group membership does have its perks! And the only way to score these polishes is if you join the Facebook group (links below).
This month I had the privilege to work along side some very talented swatchers and bloggers for the August 2017 polishes. They included guest blogger, Jen Carter, Lacquester swatchers Nova Masha, Naemi Benigna and Eliane Putzschel and of course HHC’s house swatchers, Nicole Perez and Gretchen Kushner.
So, please help me welcome Hella Holo Custom August makers, KBShimmer and Laquester!!

We did it again, we scoured the interwebs for more Women of Color (WOC) swatchers and bloggers. Last year, in Part I of Women of Color Swatchers and Bloggers, we featured multiple WOC from all races, ethnicities, cultures and backgrounds to assist makers in their efforts to present their beautiful creations of polish on a vast array of skin colors and shades. To date, that post is and has been my highest viewed post with over 800 views. So I thank all of you for helping to get the word out about these amazing ladies!
Here are more talented swatchers and/or bloggers who are willing and ready. If you’re not a maker, be sure to show them some love with a like, follow or comments on their social media platforms.

Back in June, I was asked by a friend of mine, Tanya aka Tanyatopia_too on IG, if I had a list or post of Women of Color (WOC) indie nail polish makers and sadly, I replied, “no”. When I started my blog in June of 2016, I had a post that focused on WOC swatchers/b(v)loggers because I felt there was a need for us in the indie nail polish community. My intention was always to feature WOC nail polish makers too, but it never got off the ground until now because ….life, ya know.
WOC encompasses all shades of #browngirlmagic and this post is not to exclude a race but to honor and share the spotlight with all ethnicities and races, because let’s face it, beauty is like nail polish we all come in different, shades and finishes
So here we are, and after doing my research and scouring IG, FB and the interwebs for every search term and hashtag known to man, I send out 30+ emails to WOC indie polish makers. I am excited to highlight those who responded back. Below you will read about a few amazing WOC indie polish brands, who they are and what makes them so different.

According to google.com, Steampunk is defined as, ‘a genre of science fiction that has a historical setting and typically features steam-powered machinery rather than advanced technology,’ OR ‘a style of design and fashion that combines historical elements with anachronistic technological features inspired by science fiction.’
Now, I’m not really into sci-fi all that much so to really understand this months NailDrama Box, I had to really do some research. I used google to find images because upon opening the package I was like, “what the world?! What am I supposed to do with this?” I found that this genre is extremely popular and apparently I’ve been living under a rock.

Hey y’all and happy Friday! Today I have my first 10 polishes from a ‘new to me brand’, Pahlish. Since this brand is new to the Queendom, before we get in to the swatches, lets first find out more about the maker and the polish.
“Established in 2012, Pahlish is owned and operated by the husband and wife team Shannon Pahlas Pummill and Josh Pummill out of Nashville, Tennessee.”
“Our goal is to deliver the finest in hand mixed nail polish handmade in the USA with the best customer service.”
“Our polish is cruelty free and 5-free (does not contain: toluene, dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor).”
So as I said before, I have the 10 newest polishes releasing this Sunday, Aug. 13th. These polishes are divided into a 4 piece collection and then 6 general new releases that don’t have an official collection name. Without further adieu, let’s take a look at these polishes.
