Swatch & Review: Glisten & Glow – 1950’s Nostalgia Collection
***PRESS (PR) SAMPLE NOTICE ***

Did you know that in the early 1950s the price of a new car was around $1500, a one carat diamond ring sold for $399 and cheese was $.45/lb? Neither did I! During the 1950s one would hear Elvis Presley on the radio and watch I Love Lucy on the tv. In 1959, Alaska and Hawaii were made the 49th and 50th US States.

A lot happened in the 50s that helped shape the world we live in today and today’s collection from Glisten & Glow is an ode to that time. Jill focused on one area in particular as inspiration for the upcoming 5-piece crème collection…. Appliances! From Doo-Wop to Route 66,  these polishes are synonymous with the decade.

Besides blue sapphire and ruby, the corundum family also includes so-called “fancy sapphires.” They come in violet, green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, and intermediate hues. Sapphires can even be gray, black, or brown.

Interesting, huh? Well, now that you know more about this beautiful gem, let’s take a look at the polishes Britt created.
